Trying this blog thing. My life will be much different after Monday. I am having surgery to removed a tumor in my rectum, an ileostomy & and as the Dr. put it, a free appendectomy! (he's quite the character) Had bloodwork (all 5 tubes!!), chest xrays & EKG done yesterday. Now comes the getting nervous stage.
Not everyone will understand the nervous part. You see, I've been told twice they thought they killed me with anesthesia. Wish I could have my own personal anesthesiologist to take with me. I will be on the table for 3+ hours so I'm not looking forward to that.
I'm so grateful to all of my family and friends for supporting me with this. Especially, my hubby. He seems to take all this in stride. Like its no big deal. But I know these medical bills have him worried. But we will be ok.
One of my worries is my parents. Especially my dad. You see, he too is battling cancer. His is in his bladder. He is going to start treatments soon. Mom cant drive that far. So its been an interesting time for us. plus, I have friends that are battling cancer and the one is a fellow ginger. He's having a tough time with chemo and was hospitalized. I pray for his speedy recovery. !
